LE what a great post! I was chuckling as I read it because I kept trying to highlight stuff! lol. The Hummingbird is one of the most magical animals I have the pleasure of encountering regularly. I set the intention of getting them to move from my feeder to my hand this summer ~ not sure that's going to happen, but one can dream! xoxoxo
Hi Kelley! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! Yes, I love hummingbirds too! One of these days, I want to go to Ecuador and go where they have a lot of hummingbirds just surrounding you. I'm putting it in my vibrational vortex..lol! Yes, I hope your dream comes true, Kelley! Hummingbirds are the best! Did you know that the colorful hummingbirds are male because they use their vibrant colors to woo the female birds for mating purposes? Who knew!! They are so fascinating!
I did know that! Human females seem to be the only females that need to be adorned with make-up and jewelry. Food for thought. Oh an Ecuador trip would be so amazing!!
PS-I just got buzzed! That's why my partner and I say when the male flies up to us on the balcony-pauses mid-air, stares at us, then decides whether or not to drink from the feeder. SO funny and adorable!!!
I love it when hummingbirds do that!!! It's like they really see us and choose to be with us even if it's just for a split-second!
A thought just popped into my head after I read your comment. What if men were like male hummingbirds? Men wear the get-up, make-up, and jewelry to attract a mate? Ohh, can someone write that story...lol? Just like the seahorses, the male seahorses are the ones that get pregnant, not the females.
